Easy 5 minute headband

Here’s an easy 5 minute rainy day project.

A friend of mine gave me this gorgeous ribbon, and I immediately thought to wear it in my hair. Originally I tied it, but then decided to put a piece of Velcro in

1. Measure and cut a piece of ribbon

2. Sew a patch of Velcro where you want the ends to line up

3. trim edges with pinking shears

4. Arrange in hair

5. Be fabulous!

I opted to go for simple, but you can even make a bow from contrasting material and Velcro it on the band somewhere. Or add some flowers or jewelry. Get creative!

New headband and fascinator

I picked up some gorgeous vintage jewelry from my favorite little antiques place and made this fascinator:

The jewelry is an iridescent blue, but it sparkles and will pick up any colour you wear it with.

I also made this headband with a vintage brooch and some new material peacock feather swords:

Both will be available at Saturdays Preston Street Mercato. Hope to see you there!
