Another custom wedding piece

I was contacted by a young lady who had met me through the Shanghai Winter Craft sale last year, and she wanted a wedding fascinator for her new year’s eve wedding. She sent a few photos, and I think I was able to capture what she was looking for. This piece was smaller than I usually make, but unfortunately I don’t have any wedding photos to show sizing.

This piece was fun to make since I used the netting in a very different way than I’m used to, and I finally got to use the bleached peacock feathers I had on hand.

Custom wedding fascinators!

Last year I donated a gift certificate to Bullies In Need, and the lovely Dominique won the item!

She had a specific vision in mind when we first met to discuss the piece, which was very helpful. She was interested in netting, crystals and had a piece to start with that already matched her dress.

After some debating about the birdcage veiling, we agreed to leave the netting separate that way her stylist could put it in in for the ceremony and pictures, but then she could remove it for the rest of the day.

She also requested a piece for her sister, which is the smaller clip.

Here are some photos of the pieces – doesn’t she look stunning? Congratulations to the happy couple!

Both pieces together (and D’s without netting – bigger photos available)

Thanks so much for trusting me to be a part of your big day!
