I just wanted to give all y’all a sneak peek at my latest project. I’ve actually sewed TWO things in as many days, which is some kind of record for me. But anyway, on to the sneak peek!

Ha ha, not much of a teaser, I know. But trust me, it’s awesome!

This falls under the “great idea, crummy execution” due to the recipe I used. My dog is allergic to everything, so I found a low allergen recipe that uses literally 5 ingredients. I think it would work much better in a cookie recipe that is even coloured, so I’ll try it again with a different one.

This one is 2 cups of oatmeal (I used quick oats), 1/4 cup of flax seed, one egg, and a single beef bouillon cube dissolved in water.

I rolled it out and used a bone-shaped cookie cutter to shape them

Then I dusted them with carob (technically making it 6 ingredients) before stamping my dog’s name onto them. I did this thinking that the stamps would be more visible, but that wasn’t quite the case (which is why I think an even-coloured cookie would work better)

Then I baked them for 15 minutes at 325 while the recipient anxiously awaited them with bated breath

I’ll try again with a different recipe and hopefully I’ll get a better result. In the meantime, Tug loves them!
